1. What is authentic ube?
Ube is the Filipino name commonly used for purple yam, Dioscorea alata. The tuber has naturally violet flesh and a gentle flavour often described as sweet, nutty and vanilla-like. 7. Conventional versus organic supply
Offering both conventional and organic options can support different brand strategies. Conventional supply may offer broader availability and a lower entry cost, while organic supply can support a certified product proposition when the complete chain of custody is valid.
The word “organic” should not be used from a supplier statement alone. Confirm that the certificate covers the correct legal entity, processing location, product form and period of supply. The finished-product claim must also reflect the status of every relevant component and the requirements of the target market.

Is ube the same as taro?
No. Ube is Dioscorea alata, while taro is Colocasia esculenta. They differ in botanical identity, flavour, flesh colour and product story.
Is natural Ube Powder fully water soluble?
No. Genuine tuber powder is better described as dispersible or slightly soluble. Natural settling can occur, so beverage applications may need pre-dispersion, homogenisation and a stabiliser system.
